Hargrove Gravestone 1860.jpg (113020 bytes) Ghost Walk in York.jpg (81738 bytes) Fountains_Abbey.jpg (71895 bytes) Great Crested Grebe.jpg (50846 bytes)
Charles and Jim Check out the grave of William Hargrove, who died in York in 1860. This is part of a school that is haunted by a particularly aggressive and nasty ghost.  Alas, we weren't allowed inside and didn't see the ghost. A view of Fountains Abbey, the "best preserved monastery in Yorkshire."  Henry VIII, who ended its status as well preserved is not revered in the area. Great Crested Grebe with Chick on her back, Masham Gravel Pits, Yorkshire.

Ashfield House, Grassington, North Yorkshire, built in the 17th century, where we stayed for three days. View across the moors along the road from Masham to Lofthouse, where we saw a Red Grouse, aka Willow Ptarmigan.
