Jim’s mother, Marion, was so taken with his presentation of old photos at Charles and Amy's rehearsal dinner that she requested a similar production for a party celebrating sixty years married to Jim Senior. The party also celebrated dual eightieth birthdays. Eighty years of history means lots of photos to sift through, especially when we wanted to show the previous generation as well. Some of the photos needed some restoration, giving Jim Junior an excuse to play around with PhotoShop. Click here to see the slide show.

The party took place in the Houston Country Club ballroom, scene of a similar party ten years ago. As last time, Jim arranged to play the song, "I'd Choose You Again," and said it said it all.

Charles and Amy took a break from loading their truck in Austin (see picture here) to swing down to Houston for the party, and Claire used her talent for finding cheap tickets for a blitz trip over the weekend. In addition to family, the party included friends collected over 80 years, some going back to elementary school. The pictures in the presentation included many showing these old friends, giving everyone a chance to exclaim, "Oh, look! We were so young!"
