About this photo:This photo shows how the Longjawed orbweaver waits for its prey. It is almost invisible along the branch. We had to keep going from one side of the tree to the other trying to get this photo. Notice how its long legs are stretched out in front of it on the branch, ready to grab anything that hits the web.Based on the description in How to Know the Spiders, I think this may be Tetragnatha versicolor. |
