Red-footed Booby (Sula sula)
|
||
About this photo:This is the third Booby found in the Galapagos. Like the Blue-footed Booby, this one is aptly named and easy to identify. This is the only of the three able to grab a tree limb, as this one in the photo. They build their nests in trees; the other two Boobies simply scrape out a shallow nest in the sand. The Red-footed Booby comes in two color morphs, white and brown. The brown morph is much more common. |
