About this photo:This land iguana is bigger than he looks. We have a video on the site that shows him in action. This is a separate species from the more common land iguana, which is on several of the islands. This one is restricted to Santa Fe Island, where it survives by eating the pads and fruit of the Opuntia cactus that grows there. |
