This spot claims to be the oldest post office in the Southern Hemisphere. Ships used to stop here and leave letters in a barrel.

It worked like this: if you found a letter in the barrel that you could help deliver, you were supposed to take it with you and speed it along to the intended recipient. We took some post cards and sent them to addresses in the USA. We also left some cards addressed to ourselves, but so far, they haven't showed up.
