Bobby Hughes Joan Easton and Us by Bodhi Tree
|
||
About this photo:The Bodhi tree in the background is reputed to be the largest such tree in the US. Buddha was said to have achieved enlightenment while sitting under a Bodhi tree. This one was toppled during a hurricane and had to be replanted with much effort. The plaque barely visible on the left side of the photo explains how this was accomplished. Bobby Hughes, Jim and Linda had spent the morning birding. We ate lunch at the Botanical Gardens and spent the heat of the day walking around the grounds and the aid-conditioned greenhouse, which has a marvelous collections of orchids and other plants. |
