Is this brown spider the fabled Brown Recluse, Loxosceles reclusa? It doesn't really look right, but so far I am unable to figure out what it might be. We found this spider in the bathroom of 60 Tiel Way. After taking this picture, I tried to coax the spider into a better location for some other shots. One touch was all it took! The spider immediately curled up, playing dead. I thought for a minute that I had actually killed it, but when we left it alone, it quickly recovered. |
