We're told these are really mint julep spoons, but we associate them with black cows, also known as Coke float, from childhood memories at Mamaw's house. The spoons, which have a straw built into the handle, were used by at least two generations, and Claire really wanted some.

Charles got busy on eBay and found these. A big hit.
