Charles and Amy visited Austin over Halloween. Along with the usual festivities, they organized the second Iron Chef party. Modeled on the campy TV show, the party gives each guest couple an ingredient to use in a dish of their choosing. Jim and Linda were judges at Iron Chef I, a plum assignment, but agreed to substitute at the last minute, offering Coquilles Saint Jacques as their dish made with scallops. They earned the Cardiologists Choice award for their cholesterol laden efforts. Charles and Amy naturally prepared crab cakes, stuffed with avocado to capture the Best Mix of New Orleans and Southwestern Cuisine prize.
