Small Village near Paro |
||
About this photo:This is typical of the kind of place most of the population of Bhutan lives. This small farming village is near enough to Paro to have electricity delivered as part of the main grid. Other, more isolated villages, relied on locally produced hydroelectric power. We saw about equal numbers of animal-drawn vehicles (using both horses and oxen) and small gasoline-powered tractors. This farm appears to rely mostly on horses. |
