About this photo:We went to a wedding reception for Chris and Dianne Parker at the Canyon of the Eagles Lodge near Burnet. After the reception, we wandered the grounds of the resort for a while. There were numerous butterflies and dragonflies about. This one was nice enough to perch on this twig long enough for us to take his picture. Notice the small yellow dot on the thorax barely visible between the wings. There are actually two such dots, which are the clinching field marks for this species. We think a later photo of this species is better. |
