Cheeky, the raccoon in back, is a sort of pet. Her name is short for "cheeky little beggar." She raised a litter of coons under the deck and used to lean on the sliding glass door to show us that she was nursing and needed some good eats. Alas, sometimes she isn't quick enough to get the offering. This time a large male came from nowhere and stole whatever it was we left out, probably stale bread.

Yes, we know this isn't a good idea, but she's so cute.
