We were introducing Nita Weaver to the joys of birding at Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge when we managed to get this photo of an alligator resting near "the willows," a well-known migrant trap. The alligator is not as large as it appears in this photo, perhaps five feet (1.5 m) long. |
