Claire loves her work pediatric anesthesiologist at Children's Hospital and Research Center in Oakland, CA. Now, she is a partner in the anesthesiologist group, takes lots of time off, and works really hard when she is on duty.
She still lives in San Francisco in the Haight-Ashbury/Cole Valley neighborhood. Good friends from medical school, Ken and Lindy Fox, live a block down the street. Lindy thought that one of her neighbors, Remy Hathaway, would be just right for Claire and introduced them. They went to a flying trapeze class at a nearby circus school for their first date. Afterwards, over a glass of wine at Ocean Beach, Remy confessed that he had Googled Claire, found this website, and essentially knew her history form age 16 on. Despite this, Claire went out on a second date with him. Things are going swimmingly.
Among other accomplishments for the year, Claire won the prize for Presentation at one of Charles's famous Iron Chef Parties for this stunning savory cheesecake. Be sure to not the neon light strips around the base.
Remy has been through the Hargrove trial by fire, also known as a visit with the family, twice now, once for Hallie Ray's wedding in September, then again for Christmas. This is not a record, but is worthy of notice.
Claire managed to take two trips back to New York City this year to visit friends, as well as a repeat trip to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, a quick jaunt to Baja with Remy, and multiple jaunts to Tahoe to nurse her fledgling hobby of snowboarding. Recently, she slapped tire chains on her new Mini Cooper convertible for the trip to the mountains.
She still shares her life with her cat, Princess Moonbeam.
